Many Christians are struggling in their spiritual life; very few are thriving. This is unsurprising; we have been robbed of a primary means of spiritual nourishment - weekly worship gatherings. By necessity, we have gotten ‘out of the habit’ of gathering weekly for worship with other Christians. But not only weekly worship; many believers let go of core habits that sustain and promote spiritual health. Like breathing, there are certain habits essential to spiritual health and vitality. We have dropped out of some things we should be doing (faith, forgiveness, worship) and into others we should not be doing (fear, anxiety, mistrust). Learning or re-learning good habits is our goal; there are also bad habits that need to be unlearned. By re-establishing these habits we can return to a place of sustained spiritual strength.
