Join a Team

Centrepoint is a church where people use their gifts and talents to glorify God, serve others, and build up the church. Joining a team is a great way to get involved, make new friends, and contribute to the life of our church. We want everyone to feel like they belong, and serving alongside others is one of the best ways to build relationships and become part of the family. Whatever your age or experience, there’s a place for you to serve and make a difference.

As well as serving on our teams, we have a few specific serving roles which require specialised or unique skills. Please see below for more information on these.

Specific Serving Opportunities

Serve on the Worship Team

We are looking for musicians and vocalists who want to serve in our worship gatherings and help lead our church in worship.
Commitment:
Worship team members typically serve once or twice a month, with midweek rehearsals as part of preparation.
If you’re interested, we’d love to hear from you. Please email us with:

- What instrument(s) you play / or if you sing
- Any previous band or worship team experience
- Any relevant music grades or training

Please note:
While we can provide guidance for those who are new to band settings, this is not a music lesson environment. A competent playing or vocal level is required.
We use chord charts rather than full sheet music. If you need to see an example, just let us know when you get in touch.

Centrepoint Kids Administrator

Do you love kids, but don’t see yourself in an up-front teaching role? Are you organised and great at administration? We would love you to help as our Centrepoint Kids Administrator. This would involve coordinating the curriculum schedule with our ministry team leader, scanning lessons and uploading them for teachers to access, and communicating with the church staff about required materials.

How do I join a team?

Email serve@centrepointchurch.org and let us know which area you're interested in. Alternatively, grab one of our leaders on a Sunday and let them know about your interest. If there's something not on the list, let us know and we'll find a place for you.

How do I serve with kids?

If you have a desire to teach children about God and help them progress in their faith, then this is the team for you. Team members should be energetic, full of ideas and ready to cope with anything. You will receive the relevant child protection training at least once a year. All our team members have attended Centrepoint church for a minimum of 3 months, are well-established in our community and are PVG’d through the church.

What opportunities are there for teens to serve?

From kids' helpers to learning tech, we are always looking for energetic teen helpers who love to learn and assist each week with a variety of tasks. You will work beside the adult leaders, learning and helping with activities. Email serve@centrepointchurch.org and let us know what you're interested in.

How do I serve with music?

We are looking for skilled musicians, singers and experienced worship leaders to join our worship team. All positions are volunteer positions. Our team is a family and we don’t seek the spotlight. Our team is the first to arrive and the last to leave, and you would sometimes be expected to attend mid-week practices.
Minimum age: None. Skill and attitude would be the limiting factors.

How do I serve with students/youth?

Our student ministry in Edinburgh, and our youth ministry in Bathgate, are wonderful places to serve if you have a heart for young people. Email serve@centrepointchurch.org to let us know you're interested and we'll get in touch with how you can get involved.

What opportunities are there to serve outwith Sunday services?

Church isn't just for Sundays. From mid-week group leaders to digital production and graphic design, there are many areas where you can get involved. Email serve@centrepointchurch.org and let us know where you'd like to be involved.
